Falcon Aviation are now recognised as the premier specialists in the UK for Phenolic Materials
Phenolic sheet and tubes are made by applying heat and pressure to layers of paper or glass cloth impregnated with synthetic resin.
When heat and pressure are applied to the layers, a chemical reaction (polymerisation) transforms the layers into a hard, dense material with very high mechanical strength

*sheet sizes – the size quoted is the minimum useable sheet – there is always an extra couple of inches which may or may not be useable – we could trim these after the manufacturing process, but I leave them on as you may get more useable sheet than the set 4’x4’-it’s a little bonus!
· FLIGHT-SKINS materials are epoxy-glass and Phenolic sheets which has been moulded under high pressure and heat. They are a perfectly flat sheet with semi-gloss surface which accepts paint and glues well.
· FLIGHT-SKINS are great for scale models as REAL PANEL LINES can be easily created by overlapping the materials at panel joins –Don’t just paint them on – make ‘em real! It’s real quick too!
· It is waterproof and will resist most chemical substances including Glo-fuel and petrol
· Cover a model in FLIGHT-SKINS, an its ready to paint! (No more hours of sanding and rubbing down, messy glass covering, and yet more rubbing down).
· FLIGHT-SKINS are seriously quick to use and price-wise are competitive with traditional methods as well as being very light and MUCH, MUCH STRONGER than veneers or balsa etc
· Use on Foam wings and turtle decks instead of veneer or balsa sheeting.
· Use on open or ‘built-up’ surfaces
· Glues with many different types of glue - Superglue, PVA, Pro-Bond to name but a few…
· Cuts easily with knife, scalpel or scissors
